Why Our Ministry Does Not List A Phone Number

Just to clear up any confusion...taken from a recent Facebook post

Recently it came to my attention that someone had posted a question as to why we once listed a phone number from Texas and also a PO box in Washington State. I thought I would clear up any confusion about this.

We moved back to Washington State from Texas 17 years ago to care for my wife's parents. In our increasingly mobile society keeping one's phone number during and after a move is certainly more normal than ever before - especially when your phone number is on thousands of pieces of literature. It's difficult to change it and have the old number disappear. We maintained the Texas phone number (214-289-5244) until earlier this year when I, somewhat reluctantly, disconnected it. We have also elected not to install a new (Washington) ministry phone number. The reason for this is that we were receiving perhaps twenty emails for every one phone call. Also, considering we are an apologetics ministry dealing with liberal trends in the Church, the Cults, the Occult, Freemasonry, Satanism, etc., its no secret that we're not liked by some. A few of those who oppose us had begun a campaign of leaving some of the most vial and despicable voice mails imaginable. How encouraging. These evil calls had been increasing for some time but after a barrage of foul messages, I decided that disconnecting the old number was both practical and in our best interest instead of spending money just to allow our adversaries an avenue to berate us.

We had maintained the same ministry line for over 30 years but during the period leading up to my wife's surgery in March 2021, we needed to focus particularly on family responsibilities and not be distracted.
