Eric,

Just let me say...your comments in your recent post were right on the money. When preaching a "beginning of the year" type of message a couple weeks ago, I touched on this exact issue. (And I was not sure just how well it would go over). I let my folks know that for the year 2008, their pastor was going to make a fresh commitment to "training the found". We have missed it, and missed it not by a micron, but my a mile. May God forgive all of us who have accepted the privileged mantle to shepherd and grow the flock and allow ourselves to be more concerned with the lost.

I am so glad you are addressing Oprah's new age beliefs. So many are being deceived by this because of her popularity I think. It hurts my heart to see her leading people astray. I have heard she is also teaching "the Secret" series on her radio show if I am not mistaken. How many people are being deceived by the deceiver himself because of one person! May you and your family be blessed as you take your stand!

Its hard to believe but some people just aren't very supportive of our ministry! I simply cannot imagine why some people don't like me??? I never talk about anything that's controversial or confrontational do I?  (he he he)
