| Greetings and many blessings! Many years ago I was handed a two tape cassette series entitled "Dr.
Walter Martin Debates Mormon Apologist, Van Hale." Over time I have listen
to the tapes many times. Not only are they a source of information which expose the roots
and discrepancies of Mormon doctrine but they are downright inspirational!! Everytime I
hear them I utter, "God bless Walter Martin!"
There will never be another Walter Martin. He was
the original and ONLY Bible Answer Man. (Accept no substitutes!)
His whit and ability to communicate on tough theological issues was one-of-a-kind. Many of
you have heard me remark that it is because of him and his ministry that I caught the fire
of apologetics ministry myself.
You may be aware that the new tact coming from the Mormon
hierarchy to attempt to deny that they ever followed the many heretical doctrines
of their founder, Joseph Smith. Their current approach of capitalizing on the likenesses
they share with orthodox Christians is certainly curious however considering their
history. Though in times past Mormonism vehemently denied any affiliation with
Christianity, they are now endeavoring to appear as though they are but a more enlightened
Christian denomination!
