Harry Potter
at Home?
I was driving with my 4 boys and listening to someone interview Eric
on the radio and he shared his testimony. He said in the next show he would discuss why
Harry Potter is not good for our children. My oldest has wanted to read HP and I just
haven't felt right about it. Now I know why!

Harry Potter at School -
"Christian" School !!!
Our Christian school has just allowed Harry Potter books to be in the
library. The librarian says they are okay. Ha! I am disgusted by this. Also kids get
"accelerated reader points" (AR points) for every book they read that has this
test. So these books will be read because of the points!!! I'm giving a copy of one of
your articles to her.
Keep up the good work. Thanks
- Jackie
Eric Responds:
I am disgusted hearing it too Jackie.
Why pay money to have our kids and grandkids indoctrinated by the same ideology that we
are fleeing the public schools to avoid?
So many Christians are just plain oblivious to how strongly God forbids us to participate
in or entertain ourselves with things that His Word clearly states are going to end up in
the lake of fire. I could go on and on but....(see my website "Information
Center" for more)
Anyway, many solid Christian schools are bringing me in to instruct and warn against Harry
Potter. I encourage you to make noise and at least write a balanced, biblical and
documented letter to the administrator. If that doesn't bring action, go to the school
board directly or a PTA meeting and be vocal. Have your documentation in hand and expect
people to roll their eyes. That's OK. So be it.
If that still doesn't get someone to wake up, tell every parent you know to beware. As you
are aware, there are parents that would NEVER do this but who knows how many kids your
protest will end up protecting. If they are accepting Harry Potter at school this year,
what's next? From the seminaries to the pulpits to the lay people America Christians have
often allowed popularity and culture to dictate against biblical judgment on how to
operate our lives and churches. This is exactly why the Body of Christ is in the mess we
are in today. We have trusted our feelings and not the absolute and complete truth of
God's Word to guide us.
One caution...if you do choose to speak up, have your facts right, use the Scripture as
the bottom line and expect to be branded as a narrow minded resistor to
"progress."
Let me know if I can be a help. I could provide a few booklets my old publisher did for us
of the chapter on Harry Potter from my book Entertaining Spirits Unaware: The End-Time
Occult Invasion. I only have a few left but would be glad to share some with you.
Bless you and hang in there!

A Catholic Searching
Hello Again Eric,
I am going through a really hard time. I have been a Catholic for almost 45 years. When I
read your teachings on the Catholic faith, I get really shaken up. I have never wanted to
do anything but follow Jesus, and I am distressed, that my very faith may be keeping me
from true salvation. But you must understand, I have been taught nothing else, and have
come to see the truth in the teaching of my Church. It is hard to abandon a lifetime of
beliefs. Please pray that God will give me guidance, and reveal his truth to me. I really
appreciate having your teachings available to me, even if they have shaken me to the core.
Jack
Eric Responds:
Jack,
I do understand. And believe me, we are ALL (or should all be) learning and growing and
being divinely adjusted as we endeavor to follow Him closer. I know traditions are very
hard to deal with. For example, I am convinced that the majority of Mormons continue in
Mormonism even though they have grave reservations. For the sake of so many around us I
wish God graded our sincerity but alas, this is not the case.
Still Jack, God knows that your heart's cry is to serve Him and, I believe, Him ALONE. As
a Protestant, though I serve the body of Christ, I aim only at pleasing an "audience
of One." I know this is what you are saying as well.
I am blessed that you have taken to heart what I wrote in a non-defensive and receptive
manor. This is a huge first step my friend. Please allow me to extend to you the offer to
dialog with you more. I will be happy to make my cell number available and we could
discuss things in the timing that you are comfortable with. Let's examine and see what
steps you need to make and how to best accomplish what God wants for your life.
Please be in touch and know that tonight I have gone to the throne of the King and
presented your situation before Him.
Bless you Jack,
Eric
A "Mad: Mormon
Man it is funny to see you people down something you know nothing about! I know for a
surety that you have never READ the Book Of Mormon! If you did you would see how clear it
is and how you are so wrong about how the MORMON JESUS IS ALL DIFFERENT! He is the same
Christ/Jesus in the Bible! So NO you have not read the Book Of Mormon one bit......you
might have read it but you didn't READ it! Enough said!"

Eric Responds:
Oh, but I am afraid that we have
read The Book of Mormon. "You People" (whose writings appear on our
website) includes Ed Decker, a Mormon for over 20 years, Jim Spencer, another Temple
Mormon both of which have rejected Mormonism, came to Christ and have seen thousands of
Mormons come out of Joseph Smith's cult and into the life-giving life that only the Jesus
of the Bible can bring.
It is quite interesting that the
current Mormon President, Gordon B. Hinckley himself stated that the Mormon Jesus was not
the Christian Jesus.
Hinckley said: In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke
of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints do not believe in the
traditional Christ. (He said) No, I don't. The traditional Christ of whom they
speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed
in this the Dispensation of the Fulness (sic) of Times...In this dispensation, the Lord
has declared that this Church is the only true and living Church upon the face of the
whole earth.
- LDS Church News Archives, Saturday, June 20, 1998 reporting on Hinckleys speech to
6,600 missionaries assembled in Paris.

(For more information on the
differences in the Biblical Jesus and the Mormon counterfeit or for information on
Mormonism in general visit the Information
Center.)
Notice that the writer of this email
says that the Mormon Jesus is the same as the one portrayed in the Bible, while Hinckley
just states that Mormonism's version of Jesus is not the same of Christianity's. (Hinckley
may just be inferring that Christians are ignorant or wrong about who they think
Jesus is.) But the fact is, the Mormon Jesus is a completely different
Jesus that that who is reflected in the Bible. Thus it should be apparent that this is the
first and most paramount reason why unless Mormonism should abandon The Book of
Mormon, Pearl of Great Price and The Doctrine and Covenants and accept
historic orthodoxy that any dialog Christians may have with Mormons in an attempt to merge
the two belief systems will result in the capitulation of orthodox Christian doctrine and
the acceptance of Mormon heresy. The misguided Christian ministers who are seeking
reconciliation with Mormon leaders should take note that unless one or the other of the
two sides give in on central and essential doctrines that their
well meaning ideas are misguided and futile. Moreover, the Mormon leadership couldn't be
more please that to have Christian leaders stand in the Salt Lake City Mormon Temple
apologizing to them for decades of "Mormon bashing."
I understand that anger and vehemence
of the writer of the email above. I also understand how many Mormons feel that Christians
despise them. I hope that this is a misconception and fir the most part I believe that it
is. I have had many conversations with Mormon missionaries. In fact, they have been
in my home neighborhood often over the past few days as I've been home. I go out of my way
to dialog with them, praying and believing that by doing so not only will the seeds of
doubt be planted in their hearts but that they will do self examination of their beliefs
when compared to the Bible.
My real hope is that the writer of the
email above - as well as other Mormons - will keep coming back to our website and
keep reading long enough to allow the Holy Spirit to show them the truth in his or her
heart. Only Christ can save the Mormon. We Christians just have to be fit conduits to
convey the message that saves, heals and delivers hungry souls.
