DNA vs. The Book of Mormon

As most of you know, I have ministered and spoken on the cults for many years. Central to those teachings has been the theological evidence that refutes the doctrinal claims of the Mormon Church, in particularly The Book of Mormon..

For more than 170 years The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has declared The Book of Mormon to be a scriptural and literal history. Mormonism's founding prophet, Joseph Smith, once said, "I told the brethren that The Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion." Right or wrong, Mormonism teaches that the book of Mormon is inspired of God and equal to the Bible.

The BOM is basically the story of an Israelite family who immigrated to and fully populated the American continents. The Book of Mormon teaches that these Israelites are the principle ancestors of the modern-day Native Americans. If this claim is not true then the entire premise upon which Mormonism is built comes unglued.

Now, there is new scientific evidence which not only questions but conclusively proves that the Book of Mormon is a fraud. Through the use of DNA testing it is absolutely certain that over 150 Native American tribes have one thing in common - NO ISRAELI ANCESTRY !!! Even Mormon scientists are openly admitting that Smith's story concerning the origin of the American Indians and the idea that Jesus came here to visit them is a fable.

I don't know if there has been a more exciting breakthrough to aid us in witnessing to intellectually honest Mormons! In fact, the revelation of DNA proof against The Book of Mormon has caused me to change my entire philosophy when speaking with Mormons. My new lead line when I meet Mormon missionaries on the street is now "Hi fellas...do you believe in DNA?"
